Whitefish Specialty Ski Shop Listed as Best in the Nation
WHITEFISH, MONT. – Ski Mountain Sports has been selected as one of the best ski shops in the nation by Skiing Magazine in their 2006 Gear Guide issue.
“So you’re ready to drop a wad of cash on new gear, but you still need help narrowing your search, finding the right sized ski, and getting your boots to fit perfectly,” reads the intro to the full-page guide. “We surveyed 100 gear wonks – pro athletes, resort locals, manufacturer reps, you name it – and asked them to recommend the most highly skilled bootfitters and the best all-around ski shops in their representative regions. Here are the stores that everyone raves about.”
The guide goes on to list 37 different ski shops in 13 states. Ski Mountain Sports was one of two shops selected in Montana.
“It’s a great honor to be selected,” says owner Chris Hyatt, moving into his 11th year in business this winter. “We opened the store to fill a niche in Whitefish and we’re excited that our efforts are paying off in being recognized for giving the highest level of service and customization possible to our customers.”
Skiing Magazine reaches 400,000 readers who ski an average of 22 days per season.
